  • Analyzed aptitude and interest tests and compiled socio-demographic histories to develop case records for offenders on caseload. Used case records and interviews with offenders to determine recommended programming as well as custody and risk levels.
  • As part of a multi-disciplinary team, participated in parole planning and made recommendations regarding reentry services and Community Corrections Center placement. Produced parole and commutation reports and other documents needed by the Pennsylvania Board of Parole and Pardons to made decisions on offender release.
  • Provided counseling services to inmates, including capital cases and inmates exhibiting mental health, behavioral and institutional adjustment difficulties. Assisted inmates with social, economic and emotional problems with the goal of influencing changes in attitude and behavior.
  • Provided inmates with necessary skills to allow for a smooth transition from structured institutional living to a less-structured home setting through the use of motivational interviewing and reentry planning. Made referrals and guided inmates with finding employment opportunities, housing and with locating community resources.
  • Facilitated 10-12 cognitive-behavioral based treatment groups a week to assist inmates with combating thinking errors, setting goals and making pro-social life choices.
